Initiatives:

1. Children Theatre (Kuzhandhaigal Kootharangam)

It performs various children’s activities one of its major parties performing the function of “Kuzhandhaigal Kootharangam”.  It started on 1999 gaze towards the children’s in rural and slum areas. It wants to provide an opportunity to children’s who do not have the opportunity to learn traditional arts especially in Govt. Schools; our volunteers trained children who are below 14 years.
Aim:

  • To develop the creativity of the children in order to shine in their future
  • To share ecstasy among the children
  • It provides an opportunity to expose the children’s dreams and imaginations through various arts
  • Exposing the talents of the children and develop the imagination skills.

2. Social Tourism

Social tourism means making as little Social impact as possible and helping to sustain the indigenous people, thereby encouraging the preservation of indigenous culture and their rights when visiting a place. This is responsible form of tourism and tourism development, which encourages going back to social environment in every aspect of life. It is also the key to sustainable sociological development.

Social tourism activities should follow the following principles:

  • Minimize impact
  • Build social and cultural awareness and respect
  • Provide positive experiences for both visitors and hosts
  • Provide direct financial benefits for protection of communities
  • Provide financial benefits and empowerment for local people
  • Raise sensitivity to host countries' political, environmental, and social climate
  • Support international human rights and labour agreements

3. Volunteers

f you're planning to abroad volunteer programs; you’re in the right place to find fantastic volunteer opportunities in India. Kootukkural invites individuals, couples, groups, families and students to make a great contribution and bring changes. We’ve been taking students and travelers to India from years. The organization provides volunteer opportunities throughout the India to unite on a common platform to share their experiences and skills. We enrich them with real grass root level experiences through working with vulnerable groups of children and women in India. The abroad volunteer will share their skills to develop sustainable means for the community while staying and volunteer work with them.
